(Assistant) Merchandising Manager (Hardware & Electronics)

Role and Responsibilities
- Over 8 years of merchandising experience with managing role in premium (Drinkware, Metal, Accessories, Electronics, Display & Other Premiums).
- Solid and significant experience of clients.
- Solid experience in sourcing, sample/product development, and orders follow up with South and North regions of China & APAC
- To provide an effective project management function of all projects being quoted / manufactured through the company buying operation within Asia
- Control and be responsible for the production planning, the production process, testing and checking as well as the delivery chain (shipping and/or freight)
- Plan and analyze the choice of suppliers in regard to quality, costs, and reliability Check and confirm the material in consultation with headquarter
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work with tight deadlines
- Optimize processes in product development (beginning after the production handover)
- High levels of attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills to contact directly overseas customers and suppliers
- Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Mature, self-motivated, detail-minded, responsible & able to work independently
- Travelling to China is required
Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure
- University degree or equivalent
- Project Management experience gained working within the merchandise / POS manufacturing industry
- Good communication with teammate and willing to work under pressure Extensive knowledge of the product and production process
- Strong leadership and team working ability
- Aggressive, enthusiastic, detail-minded, adaptable and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent English verbal and written is a must, proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua an advantage
- Pleasant and outgoing personality
