Purpose of the role
As a Credit Controller bridging the gap between customers, operations, and finance, you will gather payments from customers in an efficient and timely manner using great communication skills, resolve queries, and ensure that customer payments are not delayed beyond agreed terms. This role involves working closely with internal + external stakeholders to support them and maintain good relationships. This position will interface with the business region (EMEA) and report to the Finance Manager
- Be part of a positive, supportive culture amongst finance as well as with the rest of the business, is key to the team’s success
- Regularly communicate with customers to address payment-related queries and negotiate repayment plans when necessary.
- Use portals such as Tungsten, Arriba, and others to ensure invoices are sent to customers and approved in good time
- Collaborate with the operations team and shared service centre to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing
- Raise requests for credits where necessary
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and take proactive measures to minimize overdue payments
- Monitor unallocated cash to ensure that postings are matched accurately
- Work with Treasury Admin for preparation of cash reports and cash posting in the finance system, including allocations from remittances.
- Prepare and present periodic reports to management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Work closely with collection agencies, if required, to recover outstanding debts.
- Complete relevant month-end processes
- Work with Accounts Payable colleagues to link cash in with cash out to support cash forecasting
- Reporting and monitoring of client payment terms
- Identify key risks to ensure robust internal controls within the finance function to mitigate those risks
- Work to standardise document key processes/compliance, identify areas for improvement and automation
- Support on annual and interim audits where required by the External Audit Team
- Be a true team player, supporting the rest of the Finance team on ad hoc tasks and holiday cover
Skills, knowledge, experience, and exposure
- Credit control experience is essential
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience is an advantage
- Great communicator with finance as well as non-finance
- Strong Excel skills in pivot tables and lookups.

Role Requirements
- This role requires EMEA shift working hours (12PM – 8PM IST)
- Hybrid traveling to the office in Malad West - Mumbai with some days working from home
