Production Manager
Purpose of the role:
- Oversees the sourcing and production of a variety of retail printed materials across various clients in a high paced environment, from quoting to delivery, according to the defined processes and KPIs, so our service reputation remains as best-in-class in the industry.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Activations Managers in order to allow them to focus on client engagement and strategic activities.
- Maintain active and effective supplier relationships to allow a robust production execution even if managed remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management
- Ensure the briefing received from a Marketing Activation Manager (MAM) or a client is clear in terms of requirements before being forwarded to suppliers.
- Able to brief the suppliers in an effective way remotely, to ensure they quote according to the requirement in the IWW system (Noosh).
- Proactively check the supplier’s progress on the different steps of the production process and keep everything under tight control.
- Ensure all activities are properly updated in the IWW system (Noosh), and all steps are followed so orders can be closed by the CS team upon completion and after their compliance check
- Work with creative and design agencies to ensure artwork is production ready
- Identify the most appropriate supplier for the job, based on a balance of competitiveness, quality and service. The balance of these objectives will be set by senior management.
- Attend press checks where required
2. Printed Material Expertise
- Provide regular campaign updates and proactively communicate next steps to your suppliers
- Confidently demonstrate your knowledge as a print and POSM subject matter expert and are happy to field questions and find solutions e.g. new materials.
3. Marketing Activation Manager Support
- Comfortable questioning a brief to ensure you can clearly communicate the requirements to the suppliers.
- Provide regular campaign updates and proactively communicate next steps to your suppliers
Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
1. Education
- Industry related experience and or tertiary qualification preferred.
2. Professional Experience
- At least 3 years experience proven work experience in Sourcing or Production management for Gift / POSM / Print / Packaging
- Strongly manage Suppliers in producing Gift / POSM / Print / Packaging
- Experience working with Suppliers to negotiate job costs and schedules.
- Detailed and well-following up delivery from Supplier site to Client
3. Key Skills
- Proven Project management skills.
- Can do Multi tasks
- Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do’ attitude at all times, setting an example to team members.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- English skill: able to read and write at intermediate level
- Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially Excel.
- Solution-orientated.
- Able to encourage suppliers to do their best to win work and grow their business with IWW.
- MAMs praise your input and value you as an extension of their team
